"Update review: Our auto policies are still a complete mess. We recently got the renewal notice for the vehicle we have been trying to cancel since September and other things but I will not go into detail with the rest. This review is regarding our life policies now. One of us went in to upgrade our term policy to a universal life policy and instead of doing that or cancelling the term policy, they opened the universal life policy but are letting the term policy cancel due to nonpayment. They said that it was normal for us to receive nonpayment cancellation notice and to ignore it. Getting cancelled due to nonpayment makes us look bad as policy holders and it goes against us. This office is unbelievable, the absolute worst. I am extremely upset with Mr. Garcia’s office. Thankfully not all of our life policies are through his office. Just to clarify, I have been having customer service issues since our policies got moved to him after our original agent retired. I honestly try to ignore the bad attitudes, but them messing up our auto and life policies is not going to get ignored. Previous Review: State Farm is an amazing company but this agent and his office are terrible! Most of the people he has at this office are extremely rude and no one can ever help us with our policies correctly. We went in to cancel one of the car policies as the car was totaled and not getting replaced. Mr. Garcia said he cancelled it. Three months passed and the policy was still active. We went back to ask why the policy wasn’t cancelled and a woman said that unfortunately it wasn’t cancelled and she was going to cancel it for sure. She then proceeded to tell us to not pay the premium for that cancelled policy that’s in the same payment plan as an active car policy we have. After listening to her we received a cancellation notice in the mail for the active car policy and for the policy we have been trying to cancel due to no payment since they split the payment into both policies that were in the same payment plan. Basically we still had to pay the whole premium for the policy we have been trying to cancel since the cancellation still needs to be processed (this is information I already know due to my insurance background and experience but we still did what she said to do). We called to inform her of the cancelation notices and she proceeded to tell us to ignore the cancellation notices. I cannot believe she told us to do that. The amount of misinformation given to us is unbelievable. Not to mention that in another instance Mr. Garcia confirmed that they had the drivers license information on file for one of our family members when they never had it on file. He never looked into the policy to confirm. Please stay away from this office."
